How to collect website leads straight into your Google Sheet
Add your page in ownyourclick, copy its one-line tracking tag and paste it into your site's <head>. Every form submit then becomes a lead with where it came from and a hot %. Connect Google on the Configure Sheets tab, and each new lead lands as a row in your own Google Sheet.

What are the steps?
Add your page
In ownyourclick, open Pages and click Add page. Enter the address of the page that has your form, give it a name you'll recognise (it also becomes the end of your link), then click Create page.
Copy the tracking tag
Your page opens on its Settings tab. Scroll to Add the tag to your landing page, pick how your site is built and click Copy. Always copy it from this page: the ID in it belongs to this page. The tag ends in
data-form="form", so there's no setting to switch on: it captures any form on the page when someone submits it, with every field.Paste it into your page's <head>
Paste the tag where your site builder lets you add code to the head. On WordPress, use a header code plugin such as WPCode. On Webflow or Framer, open the site settings, then Custom code. In plain HTML, paste it inside
<head>. Save and publish. You don't need to change your form. Every builder's exact path is in the tracking code docs.Check the setup status
Open your live page in a normal browser window and stay a few seconds. Back on Settings, Setup status re-checks every 10 seconds: "Script detected on your page", then "First visit recorded".
Send a test lead
Fill in your form the way a visitor would and submit it. Within seconds the last check ticks: "First lead received". Open the Leads tab to see the lead with where it came from, its time on the page and its hot %. Your first test lead usually scores high, often 100%: the score compares leads on the same page, and so far it's the only one. You can set your own target instead under Configure Sheets → How Hot % is scored.
Connect Google Sheets
Open the Configure Sheets tab and click Connect Google and create my sheet. Choose the Google account the sheet should live in. On the consent screen, tick the box that lets ownyourclick create files in your Google Drive, then continue. ownyourclick can only open the sheets it creates for you, never your other files.
Open your sheet
Back in ownyourclick, click Create my sheet. The leads your page already has, your test lead included, are copied in straight away, then click Open sheet to see them with their name, email, phone and hot %. (The video uses Re-sync for this; it's no longer needed, but it's there on Configure Sheets if a lead is ever missing.) From then on, every new lead from your form goes straight into the sheet.

0:00Intro
Every lead from your website form, straight into your Google Sheet, with how hot each one is. In this video, I'll set it up from scratch, step by step.
0:10What you'll get
Here's what you'll have at the end. Every form on your page is captured with one line of code. Each lead shows up in ownyourclick with where they came from, and a hot percentage that shows how engaged they were on your page. And each one lands as a row in a Google Sheet your team can work from. All you need is a page with a form, and a Google account.
0:31Step 1: Add your page
Step one. In ownyourclick, open Pages and click Add page. Enter your page address. That's the page with your form. I'm using a demo page for this video. Give it a name you'll recognise. It also becomes the end of your link. Then click Create page.
0:49Step 2: Copy the tracking tag
Step two. Your page opens on its Settings tab. Scroll down to Add the tag to your landing page. Pick how your site is built, then click Copy. That's your page's tracking tag. Always copy it from here, because the ID in it belongs to this page. Notice the end of the tag: data-form="form". There's no extra setting to switch on. It captures any form on your page when someone submits it, with every field: name, email, phone, and the rest.
1:19Step 3: Paste it in the head section (WordPress, Webflow, Framer or plain HTML)
Step three. Paste the tag where your site builder lets you add code to the head. On WordPress, use a header code plugin, like WPCode. On Webflow or Framer, open the site settings, then Custom code. Or, in plain HTML, paste it inside the head section. Save, and publish your site. You don't need to change your form at all.
1:43Step 4: Check the setup status
Step four. Open your live page in a normal browser window, and stay for a few seconds. Back on Settings, Setup status checks every ten seconds. Script detected on your page. First visit recorded.
1:57Step 5: Send a test lead and see the hot %
Step five. Fill in your form the way a visitor would, and submit it. Within seconds, the last check ticks over. First lead received. Open the Leads tab, and there's Priya, with where she came from, how long she spent on the page, and her hot percentage. Your very first test lead will usually score high, often a hundred percent. That's expected. The score compares leads on this page, and so far, she's the only one.
2:26Step 6: Connect Google and create your sheet
Step six. Open the Configure Sheets tab, and click Connect Google and create my sheet. Google asks you to choose an account. Pick the one you want the sheet to live in. On the consent screen, tick the box that lets ownyourclick create files in your Google Drive, then continue. If you've connected before, like I have here, Google just asks you to continue. ownyourclick can only open the sheets it creates for you, never your other files. Back in ownyourclick, Google is connected. Click Create my sheet. Your sheet is ready, with a Leads tab set up the way you chose. Click Open sheet.
3:06The lead lands in your sheet (Re-sync)
The sheet is there, but it's still empty. Our test lead came in before the sheet existed. So, back on Configure Sheets, click Re-sync. Open the sheet again, and there's Priya's row, with her name, email, phone, and hot percentage. From now on, new leads from your form go straight into this sheet.
3:26Recap and free trial
Let's recap. Add your page. Copy the tag, and paste it into the head of your page. Check the setup status, and send a test lead. Then connect Google, and create your sheet. That's it. One line of code, and every website lead lands in your Google Sheet. Try it free for seven days, no card needed, at ownyourclick.com/signup.
Questions
What do people ask?
Do I have to change my website form?+
No. The tag ends in data-form="form", so it captures any form on your page when someone submits it, with every field: name, email, phone and the rest. You paste one line into your page's <head> and leave the form as it is.
Which website builders does this work with?+
WordPress, Webflow, Framer, plain HTML and pages your developer built. Anywhere you can add code to the page's <head> works. On WordPress that's usually a header code plugin such as WPCode.
Why did my first test lead score 100% hot?+
By default the hot % compares a lead with the other leads on the same page. Your first test lead is the only one so far, so it usually scores high. The score settles as real leads arrive, or you can set your own target under Configure Sheets → How Hot % is scored.
Are leads from before I connected the sheet copied in?+
Yes. When you create your sheet, the leads your page already has are copied in, without doubling any. If one is ever missing, click Re-sync on the Configure Sheets tab. Every new lead is added the moment it's submitted.
Can ownyourclick see my other Google Drive files?+
No. ownyourclick can only open the sheets it creates for you, never your other files. Google asks for that permission on the consent screen when you connect.
Does this capture Facebook or Instagram instant form leads?+
No. Instant forms keep the lead inside Facebook, so they are not captured. It works for ads and posts that send people to your own landing page, where the form and the tag are.
Can my team update leads from the sheet?+
Yes, on a sheet connected with Connect Google. Status and notes your team changes in the sheet come back to ownyourclick within about 30 seconds, and the other way round.
